LICADD Alcohol and Chemical Dependence Counselor

LICADD is thrilled to honor Sal Villani and his work as an Alcohol and Chemical Dependence Counselor at LICADD for over 24 years. Sal has worked for LICADD from 1989-1992 and returned in September 2000. He was trained at the South Oaks Alcoholism Institute. Between 1992 and 2000, Sal has had various counseling experiences with other not-for-profit organizations dealing with HIV/AIDS patients, homeless families, recovering Vietnam veterans and runaway teenagers. Prior to 1989, Sal worked for the IBM Corporation for 33 ½ years. Sal is currently active in the Catholic Church as an ordained Deacon. He has a BA in Mathematics and an MBA in Statistics. He is an Army veteran of the Korean conflict, 1952-1954. Sal and his wife Carmela have six children and seven grandchildren.
