Lauren Laurore, LMSW, LICADD’s Community Engagement Coordinator recently graduated from Stony Brook University with her Masters in Social Work. She started her career at LICADD as a student intern for the BUDDY Program and took over as Program Coordinator in March. She’s gone on to become our Community Engagement Coordinator, overseeing both our BUDDY Program and new Engaging Men project.
Prior to her joining the LICADD team, Lauren interned and worked at the Family Service League. She also served as lead intern for the Young Families Program, where she eventually took over as Program Manager. The Young Families Program is a home-based visiting program that focuses on tracking the development of children as well as providing case-management for families. After her internship, she was hired at the Bay Shore office as the Youth Development Specialist. Her primary responsibility was coordinating programs for the organization’s Teen Center.
Lauren’s passion for the program and her previous work experience continues to contribute to the success of LICADD’s innovative programs.
