The Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc (LICADD) will launch a new weekly Anger Management workshop series in Williston Park starting on Tuesday, October 3rd at 7:30pm.  Clinical Director Steve Chassman, LMSW stated, “dozens of Long Islanders have benefited from LICADD’s Suffolk County anger management program and we take pride in being able to extend this model program in Nassau, helping individuals manage their interpersonal and professional relationships.”

The Adult Anger Management Workshop Series is 10 weeks of instruction, interaction and exploration.  Classroom exercises, role plays, and instructional materials help participants to learn skills such as stress management, communication training, anger management, empathy, conflict resolution and impulse control.  New participants can enter the group at any time and LICADD’s anger management classes are accepted by all courts, probation departments and Child Protective Services.  After completion of the class, participants will receive an official certificate of completion.

The fee for the workshop series is $40 per week.  All prospective participants in the program must come in for an hour-long intake/evaluation appointment.
