Recovery Rally Rocked!
Staff and volunteers from LICADD joined Sunday’s Recovery Rally in force, joining 10,000 others in a march across the Brooklyn Bridge. This monumental gathering was organized by A&E’s Recovery Project with support from our friends at NCADD, Faces & Voices of Recovery, and the Partnership for a Drug Free America. Pictured below marching with the LICADD contingent is NYS OASAS Commissioner Karen Carpenter-Palumbo and her daughter along with LICADD’s executive director Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds, Development Director Rosanne Slattery, LIRA Board Member Gene Foley and everyone else who came out for an inspirational and wonderful day!

A&E’s hit show Intervention is a powerful and gripping television series in which individuals and families confront their darkest demons and seek a route to redemption. The Intervention television series profiles people whose dependencies on drugs and alcohol or other compulsive behavior has brought them to a point of personal crisis and estranged them from their friends and loved ones. This Emmy Award-winning program has helped promote interventions nationwide, including LICADD’s intervention services. LICADD remains the only Long Island nonprofit offering family and workplace interventions. Picture here is LICADD’s Executive Director, Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds and A&E interventionist Jeff VanVonderen. Kudos to A&E for their efforts and to their talented and committed interventionists!
